OSHI NO KO

>It's difficult to describe Oshi No Ko without majorly spoiling its twist premise. The best way I can think of would be this: it is a revenge story taking place in the entertainment industry, and it never forgets that fact. The first volume focuses on the twin children of the idol Hoshino Ai, who in their previous lives were her fans. Subsequent volumes look at different parts of the entertainment industry: off the top of my head, there's actors (both movies/shows as well as stageplays), idols, YouTubers - even cosplaying is discussed.

>This is probably my favorite manga of all time, mostly because of the characters. Each one feels like their own person, rather than a one-note stereotype like so many manga treats their characters as. Their relationship dynamics feel natural, instead of being 'out of convenience', if that makes sense.

>To be honest, I'm kind of a sucker for the 'glam' of media focused on the entertainment world, and am absolutely fascinated by the behind-the-scenes stuff Oshi No Ko LOVES to delve into. So, maybe I'm a bit biased here XD

>I will say that if you do decide to read this manga... make sure to finish volume 1 before you make final decisions!! The 1st volume (which is only 10 chapters long) acts as a prologue to the actual story, and is not representative of the rest of the story. It's not bad, per se, but it does suffer a bit from early installment weirdness.

>You can read the fan translation here. You can also read the official translation here, but honestly I recommend the fan translation because of the extensive translation notes not present in the official release. They delve into various cultural references (usually related to entertainment) that really completes the reading experience.
